Rene completed
the 3 year Musical Theatre National Diploma in 2001. Her
career was kick started when she was selected as one of the
leading Dancers when Cell C was launched in 2001. Rene’s
versatile performing techniques landed her in the Balearic
Islands of Spain where she performed as a singer and dancer
for a period of 3 years. She later performed in shows such
as Richard Loring's Midnight Hour, Sandy Dyer's Girl Talk
007, Joe Theron's Rocky Horror Show, Deon Opperman's African
Queens, Ghapi's Rock Till You Drop, Clint & Co's Rock on
Safari, Joyce Levinsohn's Charlotte’s Web, Julie de Jager's
Voyage & Funtastic, at theatres such as The Sound Stage, The
Victory, The Rustic, The Globe, The South African State
Theatre and 4 & 5 star hotels in Europe.
She performed in the Vodacom Fame routine “Single Ladies” at
Vodaworld and Sun City and was a dancer teacher at the
National Children's Theatre. She rejoined Richard Loring &
Clint & Co. in Midnight Hour, this time at the Theatre of
Marcellus at Emperors Palace. She performed in Thailand on
Freedom Day 2010 for the SA Embassy delegates and
international ambassadors. She recently performed at Sun
City on Women's Day for the SA Heart Congress.
